100% Linen Zweigart Dublin Fabric – Antique White: The Refined Base for Your Punch Needle (max 3 mm)
If you're looking for a base that combines the brightness of white with the softness of natural tones, Zweigart's Dublin Linen in Antique White is the perfect choice. It's not a cold or "office" white, but a slightly warmer and timeless shade, capable of giving your projects a sophisticated touch and an immediate more precious feel.
It's the ideal fabric for those who want to highlight yarn colors without the stark contrast of optical white, maintaining that visual softness that pairs beautifully with home decor.
Why choose it for your artistic projects:
-
100% Pure Linen: The Zweigart quality is palpable. The weave is regular, durable, and has that discreet luster that only true linen possesses.
-
Antique White Color: A restful shade. It's perfect for floral embroidery, elegant lettering, or for those who love Shabby and Minimal style. It pairs divinely with both pastel tones and forest or burnt colors.
-
Strength and Structure: It is a high-level technical fabric. Despite its delicate appearance, it handles the energy of punch needle very well.
-
Ease of Use: With 10 threads per centimeter (25 count), it's a "generous" weave that is easy to work with even for those just getting started in the world of pure linen.

✅ PERFECT FOR: Fine punch needles (like Lavor 2mm and 2.5mm) and medium (like Lavor 3mm). On this base, every stitch looks painted.
-
⚠️ TO CONSIDER: Can be used with Lavor 4mm needle or Oxford Fine. However, as it is 100% linen, remember that the weave is more compact than monk's cloth so you will feel a slight resistance and it might lose tension on the hoop more easily.
-
❌ NOT RECOMMENDED WITH: Large punch needles (Oxford Regular or Lavor 5.5mm). The weave is not suitable for such bulky tips.
-
My Advice: Antique White linen is the ideal companion for the non-slip hoops you'll find in my shop. Since linen tends to "live" and move on the hoop, a good grip is essential to never lose tension. And remember: small fiber irregularities are not defects, but the hallmark of true quality linen!
